Those pictures are bollocks and more part of the propaganda against Iran at the moment. Parts of Iran will be like that but most of it is quite liberal. You can go on ski trips ot Iran. It is actually quite a great place to visit as the people are so friendly. I have quite a few friends who have been there.

They will not declare their borders and they keep moving settlements into the West Bank, etc. US gives more military aid to Israel than any other nation on earth. And Israel has never signed the NNTP (Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty) allowing inspections of their nuclear facilities. Iran has signed the NNTP and they do allow inspectors into their county. Even North Korea has signed the NNTP. But Israel gets a free pass even though they have an estimated 200-300 ICBMs with nuclear warheads.

Most of Israel's influence in the US comes from the Zionist lobbying group AIPAC. AIPAC gives out tones of money to political campaigns. They support the Republicans and the Democrats and they are one of the most influential PACs on K street.

The strangest bed fellows are the Christian fundamentalists and AIPAC. Because of a few verses in the Bible the fundamentalist believe that the nations that stands behind Israel will be victorious when Jesus returns. The Christian fundamentalists give tons of support and money to AIPAC. The Jews of AIPAC think the Christians are nuts but are happy for the finical aid and influence.
