Forum Posting Still Effective For Link Building OR Not?
In forums i read different threads about forum posting, every one was saying that forum posting is not helpful for link building. I was still busy in building links through forum posting. Now i am happy that thanks god i did not stopped forum posting, because i got benefits.
Did those benefits come gradually or did you experience a sudden rise in link juice/rankings recently?
Small amounts of forum posting is a acceptable form of link building. How ever, massive amounts of links to non-content in a short period of time has gotten a lot of people submitted to sites like ASKIMET as spam.
Yeah. Still its value for Search Engine Optimization. We can get quality back links and also we can gain knowledge.

It's still as effective but there so many other things you can do to supplement driving more traffic.
Sometimes people bullshit. Check the forum to see if it is NoFollow'ing your links, though. That is if your motivation is primarily SEO. Believe it or not it is my observation that under some conditions you still keep some slight benefit even from a NoFollow link. If you think about it that makes perfect sense as NoFollow is often overused and Google must still make use of such content or else it would be less accurate.Originally Posted by rajkunwar

Participate in do follow and well-known forums like digital point, v7n. Through that you can get backlinks. Y u can know all new things from that if you do it on regular basis.

it helps a lot, to post on forums. But heck it is also sometimes a pain in the *ss to post all the topics to the different forums, so without stealing the thread i would ask a extra question, do you use a forum poster or do you post manually to all the forums and on how much forums do you post.
Yes, forum posting is a good way of collecting one way backlink for your website. You can also search for your niche related forums which gives you quality backlink with the targeted visitors
I agree - niche related forums ought to drive the best kinds of traffic to your site/sites. I think its only considered spammy if you over submit. I have never understood how people get to 1000s of posts on forums - they must live on there!

a slow way of link building
I can tell you that THIS week, alexa.com put a 4th link onto my profile page for http://8-teen.net and that this new link pushed my site past the 2 millionth mark, and that link was askdamagesx.com. and if you search for this link in this websites forum, you will see it wasnt that long ago I posted it. Now I am TOLD alexa.com and google share like thinking in page ranks. If that part is false then I guess this rise in alexa isnt in the SEO topic. for now, I am assuming it does and it is.

Yes,I also think forum posting is very effective and important .I do forum posting for my website about 5 months and PR can raise fast .I spend most time on forum and blog posting .If we can do it with this method all the time and can insist.I think It will take you some incomes anyway.
