Sales disaster ...

I didnt want to make another thread about shitty sales, but I am starting to get worried.

Since the 3rd of this month, my sales went to shit, same traffic, same clicks to sponsors but MUCH less sales. Yesterday was a total dissaster for me, lowest $$$ day in YEARS !!!

I am not talking about a sloght drop in revenue, its HUGE.

Anyone else?

This might be a reason, but that would cause a massive drop accross the board and I didnt see any threads like this posted anywhere.

i think it should be a philosophical debate. its first time in 4 years i am getting no sale days maintaining decent raffic. i guess the only solution is change philosophy from selling memberships to selling something else...

Ok, look at it from my point of view ... you are getting stable sales, then it starts to decline slowly, so you get less revenue years after year, but its a slow decrease... now, on the 3rd November you loose 30-40% of income ... see my point?

I am looking for some hints as what might cause it, because my traffic is more or less exactly the same.

I am looking at an $18k drop this year compared to last. I know how you feel.

Ok, so seems like nobody saw a major drop this exact month, I will have to investigate further.

I'd like to blame someone who can't defend themselves. Santa Claus. I don't know about most people but I know I'm doing more xmas shopping earlier so I can get everything I want on a smaller budget, if others are doing this, they may have less porn moneys =)

You probably make most of your sales with US surfers. Unemployment in the US is still going up. People have less money, their credit card limits are being cut, or not being increased, they have to depend more on their wage and less on credit. Here in the UK we're not even out of recession yet, and the low £ is making things more expensive here (despite the government fiddling the figures to make it look like we have low inflation).

So, what do you think is someone's priority when they start getting low on money half way through the month? To buy porn or buy groceries?

Your sales will come back when people have just got their wages, and drop to zero again when they have nearly spent them all. Get used to it and build traffic for the times when people are able to spend.

This threads always go to shit, with posters who either dont read the original question or miss a part of it.

Of course I know about the current situation, but thats not something that happened overnight. My sales went to shit overnight, thats why I am looking for possible reasones. I thought someone might have info on a major bank going belly up, some new CC regulation etc ... I was simply looking for others experience, seems like nobody was hit with a major drop in sales this month, so it must be something with my traffic.

We do quite a few joins a day, and while I noticed a slight dip in rebills for a couple days, overall joins from every type of traffic and affiliate has been steady, with about a 4-5% growth rate this week so far...

the rebills seem to be back to normal now
