I see the Twistys and ShapCash are sponsors here. Just wondering what y'all think of Shap's recent announcement on GFY about his deal with RedTube, plus the pre-checked cross sales to Brazzers.

I don't much care for either one.

i really dont get it. shap is just telling they guy if he wants to use his contect had to be with the twistys banner... why is so bad?


why people freakout so much with redtube... youtube is even worse and you can see it in other companies commercials, in movies and... and a lot of people here im sure use it.

about cross sales... whats wrong? most big sites does cross sales... like twistys, reality kings, bangbros, brazzers, pimproll... and lot more... whats wrong with that... is the surfer work to read what the are paying for... the is nothing illegal on it

I think shap will lose a lot's of moonies beacuse he will lose a lot of regular webmasters which can bring much much more money then redtube.I bet redtube only bring loses to advertisers beacuse such traffic is worthless in most cases.As xxxjay said,such traffic convert 0:50000.In shortly,there is no sense to have any connection with redtube.

I think xxxjay has no idea what he is talking about... the first thing i saw after reading his post is that oc cash mainly is built with dvd content... so they are not producers... just the buy dvd licenses.... what is their own % of content production... like 5% of all their content? second think is that their tours sucks, normal that they dont convert... and third is that i just have the feeling that this guy even didnt contacted redtube.. he just posted the threat to get some claps in the back and see if he can get some new affiliates impressed by the post

I saw shap said the AVERAGE ratio for tubesites are 1:1500-1:3000? Jesus, it's not terrible but average? Why the hell would you want an average ratio of 1:3000 over good blog/tgp traffic at 1:200 or less

most tpg they are far from 1:200... the 1:1500 is not that bad... and the amount of traffic is much bigger... so at the end of the day is more money

Why can't shap have the blogs sales AND the tube sales? Why would he have to choose either, or? Why should shap care if the tube owners can't convert their traffic. It's basically free money to shap. (aside from the fact that they may or may not be abusing his content).

Shap is no different than anyone else in this business... You'll justify anything in order to make a buck... In fact, it seems to be a requirement if you want to make serious coin...

I've always found his statements about how he treats his members so great "humurous" at best... ok.. members is the key word I guess... Cause he does have skimmed TGPs that redirect surfers (which, while necessary for real traffic, still fucks them over)... in fact, he was one of the guys that coded one of the first CJ scripts out there...

I have yet to find one big program that hasn't been dirty at some point or that I would consider truly ethical. If you want to make a lot of money in this business, you're going to have to lay down with the dogs...

If EVERYONE (sponsors) would do this, then there wouldn't be any illegal tube sites, as all the content would be sponsor-regulated.

These sites have volume traffic because they have full length videos. No sponsor would, or should, allow that. If the "bad tubes" convert to "good tubes" they say adios to their traffic, at least the bulk of it.

If you make deals with scammers and thieves you become a scammer and a thief. It doesn't work the other way 'round, the scammers and thieves don't magically become legit.

As for pre-checked cross sales, they're simple deceptive and rely on the consumer not paying close enough attention. I've dropped sponsors solely because they've added pre-checked cross sales to their signup page.

And for the record, I pulled all my Twistys and ShapCash links two days ago.

Wasn't it the 4th quarter or so last year that Shap made a post about prechecked cross sales being bad? I don't remember the exact time he made the post but it was the same time it was discovered that Quickbuck was popping their join pages over CCBill and Epoch join pages in an effort to steal sales. And now having pre-checked sales to Brazzers.

if scammers and thieves don't magically become legit... you have to work in convert them... i can give you a huge list of people that used content illegally in the past, but now are "clean" and im sure you doing don't mind to do business with them... because it was 8 years ago and with the time... nothing happens....

do you use google? if im not wrong the own youtube, so if you use google you are supporting them... also they have a lot of sponsors that suport them and im sure you not going to stop using them.... you going to stop watching movies or listening music because univesal suport youtube? or ufc... people wont go to ufc anymore? i really think shap move is in the good way, to fix these sites... but there is a lot more work to do..

Hi Guys to summarize I'll post the same thing i posted on the MP board.

I've tried fighting content theft for the past 7 years. I'm not good at it. From boards, babeblogs, rapdishare, megaupload and now to tube sites. I've had no success whatsoever. I'm great at making money but horrible and policing the web. Not only have I had no success but I also see company after company making money off my stolen content. Namely AFF. I can't explain how frustrating it is. We've spent million of dollars on content. Spending that type of money on content and seeing it raped to no end drives me insane. With such little success in policing it RedTube came to us with the offer at the right time. They came to us and offered to not allow any stolen Twistys content to be posted and they would limit the clips to Twistys posted to 2minutes max. Now you can sit back and give me shit for agreeing to it but the truth is nobody in this industry has done anything to help us in our fight against content theft and in my opinion if I could scratch RedTube off my list as a site stealing content that was a huge plus.

In a way he's trying to make a deal with redtube to conform to being a legit tube site. i.e authorized videos only etc.

Possibly redtube wants to go down this venue, sure they did some bad things to kick off their traffic but now they have the traffic they could be trying to change and be compliant with sponsors.

I'm sure other sponsors will have the same mentality, to prevent them from blatantly stealing their content and throwing it up they are working a deal to not steal their content and both sides win.

This is seriously a strong message to other webmasters letting them know its ok to start a tube site like Redtube, get the traffic of millions of hits while ignoring the law .... then change it over to a legal tube site.

Im sorry Shap, but your not helping the industry.

I understand that you need to protect yourself, but as you can see, not many people think you have done the right thing here. Maybe you see this too now that people have spoken out.

In the end, no one can change your mind, it's your call.
