Bunch of Tools that could be usefull
Part 1. Just digging out some tools that can be usefull for the one or other.
Screen Size Emulator (check here how your site looks in different screen sizes) Meta Tag Generator (if you are not familar with it already, this tool can do the job for you) Load Time Analyzer (checks how much time your site needs to load, the size of html, images and so on, even if it's more usefull for "normal" pages, it's still interesting how your site compares to competitors sites) Traceroute, Ping, Xwhois, Lockup ( as mentioned already + some more features ) HTML Table Generator with CSS (let's you create tables with CSS, can be realy usefull if you are not already a CSS Expert) Color Conversation Tool ( Color conversion (RGB/CMYK/HSV/HSL/YUV/YIC)) Bandwith Calculator ( Bandwidth conversion calculator ) HTML Character Map ( This page helps you discover the different special characters in HTML, and how to encode them. ) Show my IP address ( Not realy that usefull, just in case you don't know how to view it, lol) GIF Works ( modify .gif Images here if you don't have already a better tool, works realy good by the way! ) Wayback Machine at archive.org ( check how a site in question looked months or years ago ) CSS Design for Borders and Boxes ( I think this is can be really a helpfull one for TGP Owners ) Masquerading Your CGI/PHP Scripts as Static HTML Pages ( Never tried this, but myabe helpfull if you are into SE ) Link Polularity Check ( script will search Google, Yahoo, MSN, HotBot and All the Web to determine how many pages are linking to your web page ) Keyword Density Analyzer ( Use the keyword density analyzer to determine the optimum keyword density for your website's keywords. ) Search Engine Position Tool ( Tool will query the major search engines and check if your website appears in the first 50 of a search engine result for a specified keyword. ) Search Engine Saturation ( shows the number of pages a given search engine has in its index for your website ) Search Engine Simulator ( gives the webmaster a simulated view of how his/her website would be 'seen' by the search engines ) Keyword Optimizer ( Keyword Optimizer takes in a list of keywords, and removes duplicate keywords and organizes them into correct alphabetical order. ) JavaScript Compressor ( tool for compressing JavaScript source code by removing comments, white spaces, line feeds, and other unnecessary characters ) Domain Typo Generator ( will generate a list of suggestion of likely human misspellings and typos for the given domain name ) HTML Encrypter ( allows webmaster to encrypt HTML code in seconds, thus preventing the HTML codes from being stolen by code thieves ) Google Banned Tool ( This tool uses two methods to check to see if a URL you enter is in the Google database. Its a great way to check to see if you have been banned by Google for various reasons) Better be up ( You can monitor any Linux or FreeBSD webserver ) Ok, that's enough for now, will post again if i find or digout some others.

For a traceroute, ping etc. i would recommend http://www.traceroute.org as you can do a ping and tracerout from anywhere in the world and you can for e.g. check out the response times to your site are from Kenia
