An independent review recently concluded that decision was unfair and that the plan should be reconsidered.

Icann (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) has now confirmed to BBC News that its board will discuss the plan at its meeting in Nairobi, Kenya and could decide to back the proposals.

"If the contract is signed, we could be selling names by the end of the year," said Stuart Lawley, chairman of ICM Registry, which put forward the plans for .xxx and would sell the domain names.

So, when Stewart thinks he can retire and "invests" in diminishing assets and has a wife, or ex-wife who wants her cut - the solution is to resurrect .xxx domains so he don't have to work and can continue to play the fantasy of being a 'relevant' playboy??

It does not take long to recoup the the setup cost of ICM Registry when they can retail domains for $70-$75 each and pocket $50 "for their trouble", after having "donated" $10 to another Lawley "legitimate face" (IFFOR) and let registrars each get a cut of $10-$15 per domain. Every 20,000 domains registered is another $1 mill to help pay off the wife and allow pocket change to support the 'I-am-important' lifestyle

The sooner Stewart Lawley finds a real job instead of wasting more money trying to grab a straw and spouting his usual irrational exuberance over "If the contract is signed, we could be selling names by the end of the year.."

I can't wait to grab a few thousand .xxx domains for $70-$75 each and donate to Lawley's socially responsible, "it's-for-the-children-you-understand", greed buds
