    isn't it enough just to logout your google account when you wanna do 'private' stuff? Just wondering

    No, it's not. Every http request you send is also sent to all their other services (GMail, YouTube etc). They track you by IP and by cookies.

    For those with FF 9, try TrackMeNot instead.

    Lol,i was just thinking how google should show your ip when typing in google "show my ip" considering they collect that info anyway,so i typed and voila Your public IP address is ******** showed before first result.

    Unless your search queries are being sent to Google through a proxy and using a cookie other than yours.
