Thread: Smart Thumbs question...

Does anyone know if it costs to change the license of your ST from one domain to another? It's not an emergency or anything so trying to find some people who have had their licenses changed from one domain to another.

Please keep in mind the licenses are both under my name, but not the domains I want to use them on.

I just logged into my ST admin to see that two of the licenses were unused.. haha.. so trying to find out whats up.

So you are gonna use them on one of the sites ???

crak, msg godsmack/bepe/goodwill/ i am sure one of them can help you, sucks when u have to change domains but happens , child domains are changeable by you in the admin area, and masters must be requested...but as spermy said it may be a homey hookup

Not sure if i understood it correctly, but if you want just to change the domain within your own account than you can do so your own and i think it doesn't cost anything, must make the changes your own. When you hit domain key, just change the domain.

If you want to seel or transfer the license to another person than this is something different and it might cost something.

There is no option to change the domain on the license, even if the license is your own. Basically the domain that you sign up with is the domain the license code will be generated for. You can't change the domain automatically.. and as it's been mentioned, it's $20 if you change your mind about the domain you are going to use it on. Not a big deal but just wanted to know.

The license code generated is something like..

The license is NOT to transfer to another person. I just had some sites that i had Smart Thumbs on, which I sold but not the scripts.. so I just wanna change them over to other domains that I wanna use.

damn, you are right, just checked. You can change ALL child domains to whatever you want but not the main domain it seems. Hmm, contact ST than best.
