Not quite as many as "hotels" but still nothing to sneeze at

    Default What if that

was the exact spelling in another language?.It does seem high because of the .info.For some reason i have been getting free subscription to modern domainer magazine and I recall a interview with the owner of sedo.Basically they asked; if a domain was a stock ;then rate extentions?..."buy "sell or "hold.I don't recall all the ext but he said .net" sell" .info "buy" and .us" buy"..based on resale trends.

I am convinced many of those sedo auctions are bought & sold by associates at pre-arranged prices in order to drive up perceived value.

I.E. someone sells crappydomain.biz to their friend for $20k on paper then later sells it to someone else for $2k, and that person thinks they're getting a great deal for a domain worth $8

But they have to pay the Sedo fee. If it gets sold for $20k they have to pay $2k (10%) fee, I think.

    It's short for hot e-lesbians.

Well the #'s above weren't based on anything, just an example, but that's still a relatively small cost to pump up the selling price. One fake transaction @ $20k, a fee of $2k, then unload it for $5k or something later.

Keep in mind most sales aren't going for $20k either, so the fees are typically alot lower.
