Thread: How to find good trades

Hi guys,

I was just wondering how you manage to find good sites to trade with. Because, try as I might, I don't. Therefor I thought maybe I shoudl just post what I'm doing to find trades and you could maybe show me the error of my ways.

Currently I find my prospective trading-parters via these resources:

- Webmasterboards such as this, XBIZ etc.
- Findtrades-Database.
- The list of Comus-Sites
- Toplists of my partner-sites.

Whenever I find a site that I think would work with mine and where the tradescript is open I sign up and send some traffic, normally around 50-100. I then send an email/PM/ICQ-message alerting the webmaster to the fact that I started trading. If the script is closed I try to contact the webmaster by ICQ or email.

My problem is that in about 75% of all cases where I start forcing traffic I don't get anything back. There is no reaction at all to me having signed up and sent traffic and an email. So that traffic is wasted. And while 100 is not very much as such, it does add up, especially for a small site like mine. And unfortunately most of the traffic I get from the remaining 25% is non-productive so that I might find one trade out of 20 that are ober 100%.

Obviously sites with closed scripts don't pose the problem of me wasting traffic like this. But I just find that 50% of the webmasters I try to contact never bother replying. Which is also quite unnerving.

What I'm wondering is whether I'm the only one who is having these problems and what you guys do about it. I mean, I'm absolutely stunned when hearing that some people here manage to increase traffic to 20k in a matter of days. I haven't managed to get a steady 3k without feeder in almost a year!

i go thru toplists of my trades most people have a 20+ site toplist so you go thru a few toplists and thier toplists and finding new trades is not hard.

50% of people you icq will not reply back thats standard nowdays and many sites you send traffic to will never return traffic thats just how the tgp scene is right now.

I can vouch for that!

Always go through peoples' toplists to keep finding more trades. Thats probably the best method, as I personally use that as well.

Hey the problem is people dont force, its all you fucking dumb asses who are always saying lets force or ill match your force and dont, thats why people dont repply and dont give a shit about new guys or almost anyone and its my word that keeps my sites going strong and when I say im gonna force, its happens!

Maybe because your traffic sucks ?
its second time we're trading after I disabled it once.
Your top countries now are:
Ukraine
Israel
out of range
India
Turkey
China

this is most likely the reason others wont activate
your trade as well.
Seriously, if you're feeding it for a year already you're
doing something really wrong.

i trade with free-xxx-babes.com and his traffic is mostly from the US.

thats because your in the top of the list.
but new trades wont push to get in his top list for that traffc
and if he sends the same type of traffic its obvious why some don't
activate. Also his return is not so good reason he can't keep trades for long.
I'm not trying to bash him but rather give him some possible causes.
No site should be feed that long if he can't keep it steady obviously
something its wrong somewhere.

Hmm - my stats show mainly US-traffic and other first world countries.
I don't know about what you said regarding your position in the toplist and the origin of the traffic. If the one has anything to do with the other, than it is ATL that is doing that.

thats not the problem.

the problem is all the free scripts and everything back in the day you had to spend $1200 for a decent trade script because there were no decent free script nowdays anyone with $20 for a hosting account can start a tgp and 99% of new tgp's never get over 10k a day.

I tend to agree. That's when you need to take a good look at someone's product before you start a trade with them.

i cant see that site trading well with any of my sites so i would have to say no.

Why is that? Simply due to the niche? Or for other reasons?
