    Default HEADBOY!!!!!!!!!

    OK .... I am not one for drama normally at all

    But as some of you will know, this has been playing out for almost a year now, and my domains are now expiring, and costing me hundreds of dollars a month in lost advertising revenue!!

    I have emailed, PM'ed on umpteen number of boards, started threads, joined into existing threads, and YES .... EVEN PHONED this guy we call HEAD BOY ... all to no resolve

    ROBERT ... you have control of at least 6 of my domains that I want to transfer to another registrar.

    I even have saved correspondence from you as recent as maybe a month ago suggesting that my moving my domains to another registrar would be in the best interest of both parties ...

    I have emailed, private messaged, and done everything EXACTLY to the protocol you have specified, and yet I still have not got my domains, nor the authorization codes needed to transfer them ...

    Now that they are expiring, they will first have to be renewed, and pass thru the mandatory 60 day waiting period before I can transfer them ...

    This is becoming one huge clusterfuck, and all I am asking is very simply GIVE ME THE AUTHORIZATION CODES TO TRANSFER MY DOMAINS ...

    The domains I want to transfer are as follows :

    hotphonenews.com <---- this one has now expired, so it must be renewed first and then after 60 days transferred ...

    noticiasgadgets.com
    hotubuntunews.com
    hotiphonenews.com
    pankyspink.com
    icando4u.com

    I honestly feel like you are getting the last laugh -- at our expenses ... and I am not at all amused!You give us your step by step protocol you want followed (PM at Net Barons ....) and when we do that, we hear nothing ... I do not really understand what the holdup is, but I would like this sorted once and for all ....

    RIGHT NOW, I need HOTPHONENEWS.COM renewed .... I am losing hundreds of dollars a month in advertising revenues!!

    Tell me how to get PAYPAL or EPASSPORTE to you and I will do so ...

    And once again, I would like transfer codes for those domains listed above.

    I'm not trying to create any static here but one has to wonder..

    Why have you have not gone over his head like others did months ago and instead decided to play forum tag while waiting for your domains to expire?

    I'm glad you asked me that Troy ...

    I did infact try to open a dialogue with OnlineNIC, and they were as hard as HeadBoy to deal with ...

    At one point they wanted me to fax them a list of 8+ different documents ... including my business registration, government issued ID ... the credit card I used to buy the domains (this is where the fun started ... try explaining Netpond Points to a domain registrar ...)

    Your account still has a $10.25 credit left from the last advance that I gave you. I've just renewed the name for you, and you could have done this yourself through the service.

    I support the service through Net Barons, and I see that you have just sent me a PM there. I'm sorry I was away over the week end. You know the problems resulting from trying to support clients over multiple boards, and I've seen several posts from you when you have asked your clients to use your support mechanism. I would be grateful if you could offer me the same courtesy.

    I received a message here from Panky on your behalf several days ago, and I responded immediately - you failed to follow up on that.

    I'm getting pretty pissed off wijy all the negativity from some webmasters, and it makes me withdraw from the industry even more. I support people who use correct emails, and try to use the support service I have set up. The control panel works for most maintenance requirements, and where there is a problem, I will fix it as long as you let me know via Net Barons. FF kows that it took over two years to update his emails addresses, despite many comments from me about it, and I had to put up with his public posts about his domains expiring.

    Instead of coming to the boards with all this crap, why couldn't you have just renewed the name through your control panel like everybody else.

    FF owes me money for past renewals, and he still has a bit of credit in his account - should he be able to move his names without clearing his balance?

    To be fair to FF in this matter. He has offered to pay me, but I am still looking at cost effective options for accepting payments. The payment delay is a result of my limited payment facilities rather than an unwillingness for him to pay. Had he asked me through my support system I would have advanced him further funds to ensure the continuity of his domain ownership.

    You will start to get renewal notices from around 60 days before expiry, and for a thirty day period after expiry, but not if you can't be bothered to update the email addy.

    Please update the email address - unless you do this, tou won't be able to transfer the name, and I think it's best for all of us if you used a different registration service. Unfortunately I can't suggest one that can cope with incorrect email addresses.

    I wasn't around much over the weekend, and i replied when I hit my messages yesterday. I used to log on 9 or 10 times a day, but with all this negativity, I've turned to other things. FF didn't reply for a month, and then I am expected to reply instantly to perform a task he could have done through his control panel. Is it any wonder that I give preference to some clients who treat me as they would a normal registrar, rather than the helpful guy on Netpond who did everything for you? I'm also trying to catch up on some non-adult tasks.

    BS. FF emailed you as soon as you replied to me with what to do. He followed the instructions exactly the way you had requested. Just as he has done countless times before.

    As for the control panel and handling things himself, he's never had access to it, which you are aware of, so he can't do things on his end. You go to Baronets and it states the panel has been closed. He's never been given login details or instructions for changes.namediy.com either. Everything he tries, fails. There's nowhere to request password reminders, resets, nothing. If he was able to do things on his end to get this resolved before, he certainly would have done so.

    All you really need to do is give FF what he is asking for. He's emailed and left PM's on your own forum. I gave you contact information for him, including an email. He's given you his info as well. You say that he owes you money, but you also say he has a credit. Which is it? He'd gladly pay you if in fact he does owe you. In your last correspondence, you ranted and still failed to send the codes he asked for.

    You are so quick to blame everyone else and play the victim. If it is FF's fault, explain why there is more than a dozen people with the same issue. There seems to be a pattern emerging. For fear all the negativity will send you back into your shell, I'll leave it at that.

    If you have issues with FF, then set things up for me and I'll take care of it. Let me know what money is owed, send any login details, or the codes and I'll take care of it myself.

    You have to understand that I don't hate you or even dislike you. I'm not trashing you on boards and the whole bit. Sure, I spoke up now. It's just that it's frustrating hearing the same things over and over again, following your instructions, and nothing gets done.

    You want to wash your hands of all this and be done? - Send the codes, domains will be transferred, and you'll never hear from either one of us again.

    I'll reset the password and PM the details to FF at Net Barons so that he can change the email addys.

    I'm sorry I have had to restrict support to a single site, but the admin was becoming impossible when I tried to spread myself over all boards. Also I got pretty pissed off with all the attacks. The domain reg service was set up to help Netponders with payment difficulties and to help newbies to find names. It was not set up as a business by the definition of most people. Now that Netpond has gone, it has lost its original purpose, and I can understand people wanting to move. There are still a few people who need such a service, and I will continue to make it available to them, even though profits are minimal. Clients were attacked for using me rather than Godaddy, and I wish I had known that GD accepted Netpond points for registrations at lower prices than their normal charges. It would have saved me a considerable amount of work if I had just sent Netpond newbies over to them with their points.

    so he owes you money, but you dont accept payment in any form? now you are whining?

    why not join the rest of the world and accept payment or just give him the transfer codes and figure he will pay you the lousy $10 when you figure out how to accept payment?

    Why do you bother to post if you don't understand the situation. The payment isn't the issue. I've written off a few thousand dollars by trying to help clients. It isn't $10 either, it's probably closer to $100.

    The issue is that he doesn't update his details, and he doesn't seem to be able to use the control panel when others are able to. He also refuses to use my support forum, and there is a message waiting there for him.

    My service was set up to accept Netpond points, but since the Netpond Crash that isn't an option. The current methods of payment are -

    Dollar cheques
    Sterling cheques
    Sterling cash
    US dollar cash
    Euro cash
    Sterling bank transfers
    US dollars via money bookers
    Dollar money orders
    Sterling money or postal orders.

    As I only charge $7.95, and there are no extras (not even for proxy holdings), The following options are too expensive to use.

    epassport (cash based and requiring currency exchanges plus charges)
    PreyPal ( inability to verify payment, and used by fraudsters)
    Credit cards (far too expensive for low volumes).

    What alternative would you suggest? btw - I can arrange to accept epass and PreyPal via 3rd parties.
