Has every single surfer been burned by $1 Trial Signups?

Other webmasters mentioned in a thread a few days ago a trend I've noticing for a while. The ratio has gone to shit on every preogram that I have checked were I use $1.00 trial links. A perfect example: Wild Cash, it has never converted well for me but as I quickly approach an 0 for the last 10,000 hits I know that something has to be really bad wrong. 10,000 uniques and not a single person is willing to pay $1.00 for access to 45 sites? Just doesn't make sense. This is not traded junk traffic, the same traffic is still generating sales as usual on full subscriptions.

It seems there can only be two possible causes; 1. Surfers have been screwed over by cheap trials to the point they will never try another one.
2. Sponsors are scrubbing the shit out of our $1 signups to make up for the lagging sales we all are facing.

Either way I have put up my last new $1.00 trial link until I see some signs of improvement.

With trial usually coming two "free" access to another pay sites which usually ends with over 100$ charges on card.

Yep, people don't buy these trials anymore. Probably it's now time switch to the "revshare and full joins" model

people are getting tired of the same old dvd content with trials.... they now they're getting fucked over by it so your conversions will drop

I never promote trials

They fucking suck, except for a few programs.

The trial thing is great business approach and I don't think that is the problem.The real problem is $120 billing for a $1 trial price and 1,2,3 days access.Now it's gone but it was there for a long time.And you have to call the moon to cancel it.Plus, even that trial access is shitty, like 1 video of a low quality!!!Customers got scared but they are still buying the memberships and they are doing heavy research first.There are still great programs to promote, no doubt about it, but they are getting saturated fast and then you need new ideas, new actress.Tubes are problems too but you cannot find everything there and people again want to see something new every single day.Sooner or later that old stuff will be way outdated.This industry is killing itself.Money, women...not good, not good

Yeah blame the tubes and not the programs that wont cancel and bang the user for as much as $160 a month for a trial.

Affiliate programs are not going to change a profitable business model just because you don't like it. All you can do is not send them your traffic. Most of the volume players don't care.
