Default Eurorevenue.com closing shop

Another one bites the dust

"
We regret to inform you that after 9 successful years, EuroRevenue's affiliate program is closing its doors. For this reason, we will no longer be accepting referrals effective August 31st 2010.

Sadly, the current affiliate membership business model is no longer sustainable for future growth. However, we hope to reopen the program in the future once the climate has changed.

We could not have been this successful without the participation of our affiliates, partners and suppliers, many of whom we call friends. We thank you all and deeply regret the need to end this long-time business relationship.

We sincerely appreciate your affiliation over the years and wish you nothing but success in your future endeavors.

Kindest regards,
EuroRevenue

Angry

I'm pretty sure that EuroRevenue owes me $5968.15

I just noticed a few weeks ago that I have no record of ever having received a single payment from them, my payment info wasn't set in their system for some reason and I guess they never sent me checks. It took a while to get ahold of them and then I was told:
"I am looking into the matter…

Will get back to you as soon as possible!"

That was almost 2 weeks ago, haven't heard a peep from them since then.

Since they've announced this in advance rather than simply shut the doors, it seems like they evidently plan to pay outstanding debts to affiliates. I hope mine gets taken care of

I just read this on another forum. It totally sucks as Eurorevenue was one of my top sponsors.

Tis ok plenty of new programs will come along in due time with enough fresh content for the tubes to feast on.

DX saw this coming a mile away and more and more sponsors are doing just what he said. Dumping the affiliate model or figuring out a way to cut out affiliates all-together.

Nothing easier than shutting down the affiliate program, pay off everyone, continue to collect the rebills, continue advertising on tubes.

The way I look at it...the strong will survive...especially if the competition keeps dying off as fast as it is.

But did you noticed 99% of programs closing was some kind of shady(massive pre-checked join forms, stolen content, underage content etc.)

That sucks man. Hope they will be able to sort this out for you. They used to be very professional and I never had any problems getting paid by them. However, I dropped them a year or so ago, never liked the quality of their available marketing material. Quite frankly I can see why so many programs are closing shop these days. Many more will follow I hope. Blaming the model is just an easy way out for them. What they are really saying is that we don't have the right affiliates with the right traffic to weather the storm. Bottom line, they haven't been doing a good enough job in this tough/changed climate.

Ah, but you can bet VISA's new regulations are weeding them out and shutting them down faster than anything you just named.
