Blog Organizer - the Quick How To start a new blog Thread

a long time ago someone posted this question -"How To start a new blog with BO" to the CAS forum site

It never did get made. there is a faq about the various controls - but no "this is the ABCs of starting your first blog with BO"

Would one of you guys post a quick paragraph or two on that? Thats the Blog Organizer - I dont own BA. Theres no need to go into depth, I just what to SEE the A, B, C etc of the steps. If I am confused on what to do on B, I'll goto the CAS forum and look up B (now that I'll know whats B IS in the first place).

Sound Reasonible? and if there is such a thread already here in this forum, I didnt see it in the search.....................

unfort. since a few days Kaktus Sites are down,
however dont think so much, there is no ABC bo is very easy

1) you add the blog in your BO admin,
2) you ll get invocation codes from BO admin, which you upload on your server
3) that was all

yup and an author. definately need to know that "Add a blog" happens to be just one of several choices in one of the drop downs. you just keep clicking on each of the 10 drop down controlss til you see it. betting dollars to donuts, we dont have all the steps needed to get from a to b...........well since Im knee deep in ATC admin learning - feel free to imbelish on this if you get bored:-D I am hoping to get back to this task by thursday......ok probably friday, evening, late evening, I hope............................

and he couldnt hide the actual "write a entry into the BLOG" control any deeper if he tried.......jesus it took for ever to find it.....

That was the result on the CAS (CWS) forum when searching BO's documentation/postings on Sponsors. More specifically, how do I get my links and my sponsors in the the blog entry's "money spots" and Sponsor spots ?!?!? FYI - pink lady was the template I used. I didnt even know "money spots" and Sponsor spots were available until I did a preview of my blog entry and there they were.

ok so now I know they are there.
who knows where or how in BO's controls how to change "money spots" and/or Sponsor spots?

yes I do. So you're saying no such {variable} in BO for those items? its gonna be hard coded in the templates html?

I don't know this template but I guess you change it directly in the code.. Did you look there already?

Yup I looked at the template and the sponsor and money links are hardcoded into that template. so Im assuming that these are NOT variables found available for BO:-(
if I am wrong - please let me know...I would greet that as good news in this instance;-)

no there are no 'sponsor' variables but you could use snippets.. I'd just manually place your banner code or whatever into the template
