    As a news organization they have high ratings. They claim to be fair and balanced. From what I can tell Hannity is the most unbalanced of the commentators. They also parted ways with Beck who was going beyond conservative into the realm of conspiracy theories. Best practice is to get your news from as many sources as possible, even Al-Jazeera if needed.

    Even Al Jazeera if needed???? EH??

    Surely you know that AJ is probably one of the leading broadcasters of "actual news" (as opposed to inane corporate junk) and they do not employ 'celebrity anchors' to deliver news or convert "news" into "shows" pandering to the last surviving braincell while it suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder.

    Seriously, Al Jazeera may well be the leading international broadcaster of "real news" at the moment. The quality of broadcasting by Al Jazeera supersedes all "news networks" in North America and, tho only my opinion, offers better coverage than the BBC which is probably the only other broadcaster with infrastructure/facilities to enable global news gathering. Of course it helps when they can snatch the cream of investigative journalists from circa 50 nations and manage to support 70 ish full news bureau around the globe.

    As an aside, you may remember testimony by Clinton who was seeking funding for her "information war" (read funding to continue lying *s*) where she gave credit to Al Jazeera and a few other broadcasters for delivering "actual real news" which she found "very informative". Real news containing the truth is, of course, always a threat

    I like The Young Turks they it's kinda anti-republican but the guy really knows his way around history and politics.

    The most annoying news commentary on the air today has to be Huckabee and his personality to me seems almost as fake as his audience.
