It's kind of pathetic that the race baiting twit with the camera is too stupid to realize that he's been made to look foolish by a guy with a misspelled sign.
This is also a good example of why meaningful dialogue has become impossible; instead of sticking to the topic at hand he keeps bringing up arbitrary and totally unrelated questions about race in an attempt to discredit the other person.

The guy with the camera keeps bringing up something entirely out of context. He honestly reminds me of the mentally retarded kids at school who would get fixated upon some random topic. In fairness I saw a lot of that before and immediately after Obama took office and I believe that a lot of otherwise normal human beings convinced themselves that that sort of behavior was somehow reasonable.
The other guy isn't on "welfare", he's receiving veteran's benefits. I suppose it's a matter of what you think the government owes people who at one point risked their lives to support the government.
I don't see any contradiction in rallying against a systemic policy that one believes is bad in the long term while taking advantage of it personally in the short term. The contradiction would be supporting it while believing it is wrong, not in taking advantage of it. For instance extending unemployment benefits for years and years seems wrong to me, however I can't really fault anyone for taking advantage of it as the government takes money from the workers under income tax for years and years anyhow. They might as well get some back from the greedy fucks in government while they can. Obviously just paying out unemployment checks forever is a bad policy, but you'd need to weigh whether it's more practical to convince 500+ people in Congress to do the right thing or tens of millions of people who've been screwed for years by the federal government. The former has proven difficult time and again but the latter is not a winning proposition.
He seems capable of protesting so i'd wager he's capable of flipping burgers. My brother in law did two tours and never asked for a free ride. My grandfather was a POW who almost starved to death in a prison camp and never got any free cheese.
So does everyone who serves deserve a free ride or only those who can't spell revolution?

I question whether the guys is capable of working *any* type of job as well, but I have no idea what problem he has or whether he's collecting full or partial disability benefits from the military. I'd be inclined to say partial considering that he mentioned other activities that he's receiving benefits for, which would be a separate matter. There's a lot of stuff that one can collect veteran's benefits for, and alot of the typical types of war related disabilities don't manifest themselves in ways which might be obvious from a video clip of someone mostly standing still.
If your relatives have problems stemming from their service then they might find it worthwhile to look into what they may be entitled to.
