He did not give any details, but insisted that Iran would never halt its programme to enrich uranium, which can be used to make a nuclear warhead.
Mr Ahmadinejad was speaking at a rally in Tehran as Iranians marked the 33rd anniversary of the Islamic revolution.
He also promised that Iran would never yield to the West if it continued to use "the language of force and insult".

To me, it just seems like Iran wants to keep touting the rest of the world, regardless of if they are actually pursuing nuclear enrichment or not.

If there is any truth to their ability to enrich bomb grade uranium there is a good possibility that Israel will take some form of military action like they did years ago.

normally I'd agree with that as it's generally pretty easy to determine who's in the wrong by looking at who's on the offensive... however considering Iran's politician's have been calling for another holocaust, I can't really blame Israel for being a bit trigger happy.

Those pictures are bollocks and more part of the propaganda against Iran at the moment. Parts of Iran will be like that but most of it is quite liberal. You can go on ski trips ot Iran. It is actually quite a great place to visit as the people are so friendly. I have quite a few friends who have been there.

It is not a strict Muslim country as it has a massive Jewish population. The Jews are arabic Jews and not the zionist variety that inhabit Israel.

I have to agree with you BluePlayer. I have nothing against Jews but I really hate the entire Zionist movement. After WWII I think the UN and the US totally fucked up allowing the Jews to start their own nation state in Palestine. Nobody seams to remember that there were close to one million people living there before Ben Gurion and the Zionists moved in.

Current day, I could bitch all day about Israel. They will not declare their borders and they keep moving settlements into the West Bank, etc. US gives more military aid to Israel than any other nation on earth. And Israel has never signed the NNTP (Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty) allowing inspections of their nuclear facilities. Iran has signed the NNTP and they do allow inspectors into their county. Even North Korea has signed the NNTP. But Israel gets a free pass even though they have an estimated 200-300 ICBMs with nuclear warheads.

Most of Israel's influence in the US comes from the Zionist lobbying group AIPAC. AIPAC gives out tones of money to political campaigns. They support the Republicans and the Democrats and they are one of the most influential PACs on K street.

The strangest bed fellows are the Christian fundamentalists and AIPAC. Because of a few verses in the Bible the fundamentalist believe that the nations that stands behind Israel will be victorious when Jesus returns. The Christian fundamentalists give tons of support and money to AIPAC. The Jews of AIPAC think the Christians are nuts but are happy for the finical aid and influence. I just called a friend that has a PhD in Theology to get the exact bible verses:

This situation keeps getting more and more intriguing as the uranium enrichment moves forward and closer to bomb grade. What keeps diplomacy on its toes is the potential run up in oil prices if military action is the only option left on the table.
