Default I stand corrected

When I said that Democrats don't propose anti-porn laws I was somewhat wrong... even though I don't consider Bart Stupak a real Democrat he has that big D next to his name... House Bill Would Heavily Regulate Online Adult Biz - XBIZ.com

when you figure out that none of them are there primarily for the purpose of finding solutions, it'll be easier to digest.

He is a "Blue Dog" democrat i.e. socially conservative. His district is upper Michigan which is a fairly conservative district.

The bill has no co-sponsors so I'm guessing it will die in committee. I'd bet money that the real purpose of the bill is so he can use it in campaign brochures and shit for his reelection.

We all know what happened with COPA in the 90s. This is an even broader bill and seems less likely to have any real impact and would probably not stand up in court if it were challenged on 1st amendment grounds even if it did pass. No co-sponsors is definitely a good thing.

Did I say that? Go ahead an align yourself with whoever you wish. Democrat/Republican labels mean shit nowdays. They both put out BS whether you want to see it or not.

I personally prefer to go by each individuals substance. Their alliance with particular parties don't mean anything to me. Most of them are switch hitters anyway when it comes to getting what they want. Givem a bribe and you get their vote.

One day these politicians will realise that pushing industries out of the US actually prevents them from influencing them. PreyPal left the US so that it could carry on it's shady business, and the casinos are long gone. Obviously porn will be the next to go, together with web hosting. Losing the profits doesn't help the dollar, and it makes it even easier for the Chinese to purchase long term assets like the US copper mines.

So you know of PreyPal well? Seriously would not trust them with a dime! Same goes for almost all of the US banks who are setting up outside the US to avoid the oncoming slaughter.

CitiBank ad nausea have been expanding into other countries where the controlling laws are fairly lax - and trying to rinse and repeat the US scam of nickle and diming people to death and charging .. think it's 39% standard interest on credit cards I ended up in one recently to get change and they tried to dump their card on me - so decided to play along for entertainment value. "So what info do you want so I can have the honor of possessing your card?" There was the usual ID stuff - no biggie, then "We need three years bank statements" Had to tell the girl, I have no intention of bothering to give three years bank statements to anyone - far less a bank. It's a learning process they need to get over and get back to the basic concept of banking and the idea nobody "has" to waste time on crap to bank with em

Seriously, you may have more than just a point in what you said Head Boy - it is kinda sad to see so many segments of industries either be blocked (casinos) or move out of the US to rape some other country for cheap labor while US people are looking for work. It's hard to say, but would think most of this activity stems from the predatory conduct of corps (tho obviously casinos were a result of legislation) who don't give a damn about anything other than their bottom line. They would abuse a toilet roll if it earned them a cent
