he doesn't sound like a politician. Which is also what makes me think that he probably won't get elected.

Yes that's all we need is to be forced to listen to Gospel before every presidential speech.

The only reason that idiot is getting any attention right now is because his party has nothing else. Both Perry and Bachmann were done before they even got up to the starting gate. If no one else steps up to run the Republican party has no chance at winning against Obama with anyone but Cain at this point. That will however cost them a ton of votes even from hardcore Republicans because the old boys and the clan wont vote for a black man even if he was the last man on earth.

given a choice between a black man who represents their views and the fucking kook whose regime we've suffered under for the past few years, I'd have a hard time believing even those folk wouldn't support him.

Nope they would simply not vote because they would be so outraged.

Clan would never see eye to eye with a black guy and they especially wont vote for the white party to in essence turn black. I think the world would implode if we ever had two black presidents from each party back to back.

And who's to say Cain actually supports their views when the party is so divided as a whole right now?

I always liked that Kook and suspect many young voters actually voted for him because he's more real like my generation. This Cain guy is even less hip then Bush who was at least a bit of country and had something going for him. Maybe the Reps believe they can swing older black Dems over to make up for the loss of white voters by putting Cain out there but somehow i doubt that one.
