I'm shocked that the financial industry shies away from a region of oppressive regulations drafted by people unqualified to write them, while commuting to and from work in a police state. Where's their love for NYC?

True NS... been watching the global economic axis shift for.. almost 15 years now. Some of the elements were predictable, but e.g. thought the no-longer-industrial-west would be left shuffling financial paperwork to earn a living, tho perhaps not.

It's easy to ID the 'wealth creators' now - any GDP rate of 4% upwards is a 'wealth creator' (and all tend to be developing nations or e.g. China etc) - everything below 4% is struggling western nation and they are very lucky if they manage to reach 4% GDP.

I'm still fairly stunned at the regional GDP rates here and expected land and property to drop circa 30% when the down turn hit, but nope - it has steadily increased since 2007. GDP in 2010 was 7.45% and this year is circa 9.6% with 4% unemployment, but there is always a need to balance and the main issue is keeping inflation down.
