    Angry WEBAIR

So if you need problems - go and host with WEBAIR - the most unprofessional virtual host I have ever used. They are for me just a group of ignorants who do not care about customers and their sites, have no server monitoring, unexperienced admins and so forth.

Some of you may remember the thread I wrote about my first experiences with these amateurs - http://www.askdamagex.com/showthread.php?t=15713 and this was just the begining of my story with them. After things mentioned in that thread were fixed, it went even worse.

First thing happened in just a few days from opening the account. The stats were not working for any domain so I have created the support ticket to have it fixed. Few hours later, the genius administrator (Ayumi O) responded that it is all done. Of course it was still not working - what a surprise... So the next ticket, response after next few hours that is is finally fixed. So - if you need admins who do not even check what they do - go with webair and enjoy!

Same day a bit later, mysql fuckup happened and every few site loads the connection to database was lost. I must say the site was huge and had like 20-30 visits a day so it could really overload their awesome servers. Problem solved with the support ticket.

Three days later I have noticed that none of my sites hosted with webair is visible. They had to recreate DNS entries to fix it.

Next, I have noticed that again none of my sites is working for couple of days. It was fixed with this awesome ticket response:
Your sites should be working now. We do have monitoring and
also have apache restart automatically if it ever goes down but
the IP was still binded to the server which made apache not restart
    on your account.
Today I have been checking the sites again and, what a surprise, everything is down again. It has been down for over a week now so the monitoring of webair is just a pure bullshit! For now the story ended with the support ticket that is not answered yet.

In summary, till now I have the virtual account with them for 2,5 months with like 10 days of total downtime and couple of days of other problems. Thats why I have decided to list them here so other people can avoid the waste of time and money with webair.

I am moving out today and tomorrow, before I was assured by Gerard, that things are solved and fixed so I should not expect any further problems. I have there only some little blogs so it is nothing critical.

Exactly - that's what I'd say aswell. I'm with them for 6 months now and more than happy. Sure, there have been some minor problems, but total downtime never occured, besides that one time when the whole Webair network went down for an hour and GFY was going nuts

But, I have to say that I don't have the cheapest virtual package, but one that includes access to their live support, which I just love. And I can't say enough good things about Ayumi O! She has been very helpful, and as she also runs a few TGP's she was able to help me installing ST and a few other scripts where I had no clue of

So, I'm definitely staying with Webair, and I'll probably soon go dedicated with 'em. Sorry to hear that your Webair experience was such a desaster though, Kefir.

I have used them for 2 years and I am very happy with them. And I have always gotten good and fast support when asked for it! Even some installation help that they was NOT required to do for me. So I give Webair *thumbs up*.
