unfortunaltley sponsors seems to get used to scam FHG

today i found this one:

(PA changed by my due you never know how sponsors act )

which comes to a site with title "RD" which instantanousley redirects to:
(couldnt see source code redirect was always to fast)

redirects to:
http://www.topheavyamateurs.com/fhg/anya/default.htm
without any cookie information set, but thats not all,

the view in the source code shows a meta refresh to:
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="60;URL=http://www.allkindsofbutts.com"> without any ref. code for sure
(on IE right click is disabled)

oki doki, i thought before making it public i write to the sponsor to hear his words, all his mail adresses bounced and came back immediately:

so for now sponsor disabled, may he comes over to ADX with some explanations i would appreciate, since i just become a few days ago, their newsletter with new promo tools bla bla bla, but never mentioned anywhere they also took some FHG´s down

I just can't understand why sponsors do this, other than they want to make a quick buck and think affiliates are fools.

FHGs are a great source of good traffic. I was very surprised at how much good traffic comte tfrom them and it just builds and builds. So why screw with the link codes?

Traffic is about building slowly and surely, going for a fast buck is a fools approach.

And yes I know we made a mistake with our coding in the beginning.

Hey All,

I just recieved an email from one of my affiliates about this post here on AskDamageX and I wanted to come by and try and explain a few things in hopes of clearing it all up.

I had never considered hosting my own FHGs and for the longest time just posted pics in our affiliate area so our affiliates could create their own. It worked and everyone seemed happy so I stuck with it.

Back in JUNE 2007 I got an email from an affiliate who suggested I host my own FHGs to increase sales. I thought about it and it seemed like a good idea. So I did some homework and had a "friend" who coded to assist me in generating some pages and helping affiliate sales.

He really screwed me over.

He setup all the wrong links, all the wrong pages with all kinds of back doors into the passworded affiliates area. Big mess.

Needless to say, I got shafted big time. All becuase I trusted him.

My brandwidth charges went through the roof and in SEP I had to stand around shaking my head trying to figure out why my servers were dog slow and no sales.

I found out why finally and dropped all the FHGs until I could get everything sorted.

Thanks to some good people from some sites I have worked with in the past who are lending me hand, today I know what has been happening to my FHG pages.

We have been working on all the FHG pages trying like hell to get everything setup the way it should be.

Looks like we have most of it sorted now. No more redirects, no more changing code.

I am still not 100% sure eveything he put in there is gone and that the code is 100%. But it will be soon. I have an gentleman from a top notch site helping me look over the code and with guidance I have rewritten many many FHG pages from scracth to be sure.

I am just here to post and let you all know what we have been fighting for the past 6 months.

I appreciate the guy who told me about this post and everyone who has lent a hand helping me fix this issue.

I started out as an AFF and I know how frustrating some sites can be.

Thats not my bag. I try to post quickly, fresh content, and assist my affiliates with any issues they have.

On a side note, I would appreciate any suggestions to making our pages better to generate more sales for all those involved.

Opps forgot one thing so I will have to edit.

I dont know what OIL meant about the emails not getting to me and bouncing. My contact info is on the front page by the updates section where I post my write up for all to see and email me.

It's posted there each and every update and it has been since I started the site. If there is any issue there, please let me know and we'll get that fixed as well.

anyway, i don&#180;t see the redirects anymore so i will add the galleries again

on a side note: i sent a shitload of traffic to your sites, and never did get a email which where saying all the FHG are down, you really could have done that at least - i know youre around since long time - its not a big deal to admit you did something wrong, shit happens - but not letting your affilates know is pure crap

I never received any emails either... Last email I got was in March 2007

I'd love it if you cleaned up any traffic leaks to bring your site(s) more inline with what affiliates expect. And the 2 sites thing for basically the same content irks me to no end.
