People cheat because there are a lot of webmasters out there that don;t have the time to research every trade. For every 1 webmaster that cares, there are 50 that don't. Cheaters exist because they feel it is a shortcut to riches and with as many apathetic and complacent people as there are in the world today, cheaters have a hay day... Maybe they didn't get a proper upbringing, maybe they feel it's their God given right, who knows, but the fact they they exist in force remains. They get stronger every day too.
The idea behind Cheaterhell was to remain free(and in reality it almost is), but the hassles and time put into it requires a nominal fee in order for me to stay interested, and it also allows me to deal with only people that give a shit. If you really think it is bait and switch, well.. There are plenty of people that get in with smaller terms, but they contact me
As far as the site and minimal information. It was just barely moved to a server that allowed access to accomodate a 'sales pitch' if you will. It will get 'fixed up' someday, but there are other priorities right now.

You really think this is a business? It might be eventually a small business if it's done by a newbie to make some bucks but even than i'am not sure if there would be something left. I personally worked on cheaterhell for about 2 years and i didn't take 1 cent, but invested 1000's of hours researching, adding, checking and dealing with people. I would say i'am a more or less decent successfull webmaster that makes a good profit month by month so you can do your own calculations how much of a business it was for me or now. There is hosting and there is bandwith, even if not much at all, how much do you think it makes? Even if there would be in theory (and there are not that much) 100 webmasters per month it would make netto about 600 bucks, right? Is that business for you if you work on something day by day and than have a netto income before expenses of some bucks? Cliffnotes: it NEVER was a business and NEVER will be a business. ALL the money that comes in from memberships goes to the amin (spence) there, the OWNER or ME or whoever else is affilated there does NOT get a single cent even for the expensive. It's paid out in good faith and due some idealism even if i personally regret it many times and wouldn't do it again but would use the time i invest to make another 500k profit than dealing with cheaters, lol.

Currently there is a fee to access cheaterhell.com which is fine. Personally - I believe a good public resource such as cheaterhell.com is beneficial. The question I have, however, is in regards to the process that cheaterhell.com currently uses to verify cheating sites. If Spence or someone else who is familiar with cheaterhell.com operationally could give a brief overview of the verification process I would really appreciate it.
Any site(s) added to CH at this point are taken from the cheater forum when said sites are posted w/ proof and/or I can verify problems with the sites in question. It is impossible to post sites just because you want to blackball a competitor, because proof must come with the listing.
Whole IP bans like the one that started this thread are not done until I can personally verify the bulk of domains on the ip are part of a rogue network.
That said, CH, is still a guide/helpful tool to help traders discern the good from the possible bad. Nothing is ever black and white, but CH certainly helps in the gray area
I have asked several times on this board for anyone that knows of a site that shouldn't belong in CH to let it be known and it would be investigated and fixed. So far, so good in that department.
