Whoever owns this site is allowing anyone to add any site to their list without even making sure they are a cheater or scum. And for a site thats so widely used, its kinda pathetic to ruin other sites like that, for example:

Well i see my domains have been removed, and same with furrybandit.com but theres a few others in there i noticed of another friends, so how about just removing the whole list and only adding the ones you KNOW are cheaters, instead of marking the innocent as cheaters...

Sometimes these are the breaks when you share your ip with other sites.

Part of the game, and you know Cheaterhell will take care of it. In most cases blocking all sites by ip is standard practice, but obviously in this case it wasn't the best call.

Wasn't the right call is right, but will they take care of it? yeah probably these domains, but how many thousands of other sites are added to cheaterhell daily and haven't even done 1 bit of wrong? I personally wouldn't trust a site that isn't true...

I don't own cheaterhell, however, i manage all public issues...
As said already, it's common practice to add all sites to the database when a cheater is found and it's ip get added. In most cases it's a very good solution which prevents and lot more cheating.
Sometimes innocent sites get added as well, like in this case, no doubt, but on the other side that is the risk you took when using a shared hosting, shared ip.
IF you are a professional webmaster use your own IP's, they are available for around 50 cents per month, something a serious webmaster should be able to afford for it's sites. That easy.

So thx for the Shitlist entry, again cool done man, you are today the hero, sitting on your ass and doing nothing against cheaters but moaning and whinning about the people and services doing something is realy fashion lately.

All people on cheaterhell work for free, we don't make a single cent on it, even reverse we pay the bandwith and server out of our pocket to help many webmasters, but who cares, we are just scum i guess...........

I suggest you make a 50 cent investement and get your own ip, if that's too much for you than i'am sorry, being on an IP that is also used by a cheater isn't a too good idea, at least i personally wouldn't feel comfortable to be on a cheater IP anyway.

Most trade scripts, when a site/domain gets blacklisted block/ban the IP as well, something someone should be aware about as well.

considering that many webmasters do use shared ip's, it seems a bit reckless, and is proven to be inaccurate, to simply label every site as a cheater that merely happens to use the same ip as a cheater.

that said, I use IP addresses to issue warnings in my own anti-cheat system, however I don't simply ban them outright, and I certainly don't publish libel against other webmasters in a site viewable by their colleagues.

you and I have gone around and around on the subject of CH before and I don't care to get into a big debate again, however CH is really setting itself up for a big problem with some of these policies, and telling other people that they need to spend money - no matter how much or little - to avoid problems caused by CH errors is simply wrong

just to answer your shared ip comment, as said already above somewhere, if you hit the blacklist button on ATX/At3 for example the IP for a given website can get blacklisted as well means NONE of the other sites on this ip can join a given trade, means people/webmasters should make a 50 cent per month investement and use their own ip anyway. But honestly, i don't care anymore, i'am sick of such discussions whether with reason or without..... No bad feelings towards you anyway

If a site doesn't belong on the list then it can be easily removed...i believe you guys have shined the light on more cheaters than any other resource out there.

I dont use it, When my or someone elses sites I deal with get added for not cheating thats pretty pathetic, considering their is no proof other than the IP address which could be shared.

I agree with you that they definitely should use their own IP, however many do not, even some older established sites are on shared IP's.

I use (among other things) an IP scanner to check against a list of known cheats, and this is a good way to catch many cheaters, however there also happens to be several other very valuable trades using the same IP address as cheaters in my blacklist, so it requires some amount of caution IMHO.

i have to agree with that, i have my share of trouble with cheap fuckers with their "0 dollars budget plans" but maybe some caution wont hurt and its a shame cant using cheaterhell anymore

whoa now, I just found this thread after playing around with google.

However that IP is a shared server IP of ours. It would be HIGHLY unethical for someone to blacklist every single domain that resolves to that IP.

This the same as using a nuke to kill a terrorist? well we got the bad guy but we took our hundreds of thousands of innocent people!

Too bad in a way that the idiots running cheaterhell were suck fuck ups. Theoretically, if they had validated the claims submitted by webmasters it might have been useful. It turned out to be a joke and it was easy for webmasters to get competition and others blacklisted on a lot of sites for no real reason.
