    Default BEWARE OF SERVAGE HOSTING

If you are looking for a new hosting company, I would strongly suggest that you stay away from Servage Hosting. These guys cannot be trusted and they are thieves.

I signed up for a hosting account with them, and I tried to setup TGP Rotator on their server and I was getting nothing but errors and timeouts with the thumbnail scanning process. I know this software inside out as I run TGP Rotator on other sites on a different server, so it's not because the software was not setup properly. I even tried Smart Thumbs and had no luck with that either. Also their FTP sucks big time. Anytime I was trying to upload a large amount, it logged me out.

As for their 5-day money back guarantee that they advertise, forget about it. I've asked for a refund, and they are not responding. It's not about the money as it's only $40. I just don't like to be taken for a ride. It's just to long to post here.

You can see all the support tickets at the following url.... http://www.sharingteens.com This will give you a better idea of what I am taking about. It's posted on their server, so it may or may not still be there.

Hmmm...it's funny....that is what they suggested also. The reason I use TGP Rotator is so I don't have to do that. I am presently using TGP Rotator on Dreamhost and it works just fine there. The point is that they offer a 5-day money back guarantee if you are not satisfied, but when comes the time to ask for a refund, they totally ignore you.

lol, laughing my ass off from what the respond:

    Here some highlights:

... If possible I would recomme create the thumbs on your local PC instead of converting them on the server
....Alternatively try importing only a few images at the time
The ip address assigned was taken offline. You have gotten a new one.
....CGI takes a lot of resources compared to php and therefore our monitoring systems, might catch the program for using too many resources.
sorry, for the laughs as i really feel with you, on the other side i wonder how someone can be that patient for 15 days.

And if you someday need some work, i will employee you for going shopping with my gf, this needs really steal nerves and patience and it seems you are the right person for that "task" (j/k)
who is next after ibill, paymonde ....?

Thanks for the offer Pornonada, but I already have enough of my wife dragging me to the dam shopping malls!! As for dragging it for 15 days, I was just trying to give them a chance to respond, but it's obvious that they are ignoring me.

Even if they do, it wouldn't change anything. I will just post it again on my current host. I figured if they will not refund me, I might as well show what they are all about directly on their own server. Like I said, it's not about the money, I just don't like to be taken for a ride.

Can't really expect something good from a host offering 2TB of bandwidth for $7.50 a month can you? It is bullshit they won't respond to you about your refund.

If you want to him the hard, file a complaint with the FTC and BBB.. trust me.. NO business what's to have a negative record with either of them.

And you should have not filled out even 1 more support ticket beyond this - this was your notice to fawk off from the host they had no intent of fixing it!

Bring me your 40.00 and I'll show you what a real server will do for you.

    Hello Romeo,

I'm sorry to hear about the problem. If possible I would recomme create the thumbs on your local PC instead of converting them on the server.

The webservers are optimized to serve webpages and coverting of images gets a low priority on the server. Alternatively try importing only a few images at the time.

    Kind regards,
    Steffan, Servage Hosting

Hmm...not sure what that will give to contact these 2 bodies, but it may be a good idea. I have contacted my credit card company and they are taking procedures to recover my money. And you are right that you get what you pay for, at least in this case it's true.

Well, the BBB is the Better Business Bureau, and the FTC is the Federal Trade Commission.

Any legitimate business does not want to have a negative report with the BBB, and they don't need to be a member for the BBB to file a complaint.

The FTC is a federal organization in the US, and oversees all legitimate business practices. They can go as far as placing fines on servage if the issue is major enough. I bet if you even threatened the host that you will contact these 2 places they will get your money back to you in a hurry.

    FTC : https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=

    BBB : https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/GetStarted.aspx

By doing this, the problem will get resolved, or both organizations will list the host as having complaints. Then, basically anyone that does an inquiry on the company at either site will see they have had a complaint or many complaints against them, and may think twice about using them for service.

Their address is the following :

    Servage Hosting
    Suite# 2617
    14781 Memorial Drive
    Houston, TX 77079 - USA

    Good luck with it.

Wow....these guys are really to much. I just got an email from Servage after responding to one of their offers a few days ago where they where asking to bring them new customers. Sorry for keeping this thread going, but it's just to funny. Keep in mind that I have already submitted about 22 support tickets already and a few emails directly to their sales department. Here is the whole thing....

I followed your advice. I emailed Servage and told them I would place a complaint with the BBB and the FTC if I didn't get a refund immediately. Here is the reply I got about an hour later..........

    Hello Romeo,

We are very sorry about this. We have now closed your account and issued
a full refund. Due to an technical error was your ticket not forwarded
correctly to the accounting staff who takes care of cancel requests.

Your account has been closed and we have issued a full refund. We wish
you all the best for the future.
